Corporate responsibility

The Thuishavens meet the strictest standards with respect to service and environmental care.

This is demonstrated for instance by the Blue Flag, an international environmental award which is awarded annually to beaches and marinas that have proven to be clean, environmentally friendly and safe. Dorado Beach marina in Olburgen, on the river IJssel, has also been awarded the Blue Flag for environmental friendliness and corporate responsibility.

Corporate sustainability
All Thuishavens attach great importance to the environment and the wellbeing of nature, man and wildlilfe. This is demonstrated by how our marinas are run. You can also help us to keep the marina looking attractive and clean. To this end, please note the following:

• Where possible we have used energy-saving lamps and LED lighting. Time switches and movement sensors prevent energy waste.
• Dorado Beach has its own source that supplies all water requirements.
• A dirty water and bilge water pump are available at the marina.
• All our pontoons have a deck made from recyclable synthetic material.
• All waste is collected separately.
• Our showers are timer controlled to limit water consumption.
• The wash hand basins have push button taps to prevent waste.
• Solar collectors heat the water which saves energy.
• Your used oil is disposed of appropriately at our recycling compound.
• Electricity use on the pontoons is metered to improve both your and our awareness of energy consumption.
