Dorado Beach marina is situated on the edge of three attractive tourist areas: the Veluwezoom, the Achterhoek and the river IJssel. Its central location makes it an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside.
All sorts of events are organized in this area such as Easter bonfires, regional festivals, open days, flower parades and vogelschieten (a traditional game where you try and hit a wooden bird).
The marina is an excellent base to explore the area or visit the Hanseatic towns.
Both by land and by water there are many possibilities. The estates and castles in the Achterhoek and the beautiful scenery of the Veluwezoom are within easy reach. Along the river IJssel you will find the picturesque Hanseatic towns of Zutphen, Deventer and Doesburg.
You can also try the Veerpontjesroute, which is a 37km cycle tour which takes you along the banks of the IJssel using ferry boats to cross the water. The route is suitable for all ages.
